Situated in the old fishing village of Ardrishaig, Argyll, we are well positioned for nearby activities, such as plentiful walks, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, cycle hire the list is endless. Places of interest including Crinan Canal, Kilmartin House Museum with it's wonderful coffee shop and standing stones. For business travellers we are a stones throw away from the Argyll and Bute Council offices, minutes from the ferry terminals to Islay, Gigha and Arran. Oban is an hour up the road and is the gateway to the Western Isles. Allt-Na-Craig, the former childhod home of Kenneth Grahame, author of the famous novel Wind in the WIllows, is a superior five room accomodation consisting of superior double, standard double, twin, single and family room, we also have a cottage to the rear of the house to help accomodate larger parties. The licenced dining room serves home cooked food made from local ingredients on our lovely Red Aga. The drawing room with open fire and plentiful supply of reading material is an ideal place to unwind, often seen from the window are a family of red squirrels as they feed from the peanut feeder, dolphins, otters and seals in the loch, and deer wondering round the garden. Allt-Na-Craig is very much a home from home, children welcome and well behaved dogs by prior arrangement. Allt-Na-Craig is very easy to find, follow the simple instructions below from these major roads. If you get confused at all during your journey just give us a call. From Glasgow: M8 west bound over Erskine Bridge follow A82 Loch Lomond at Tarbet, follow signs A83 Campbeltown all the way to Ardrishaig. On entering the village, proceed to far end, cross over the Crinan Canal Basin Bridge, 500 yards past the bridge are the 30mph de-restriction signs. Allt-Na-Craig and the Coach House are immediately on the right,From Oban and the North:- A816 to Lochgilphead then A83 towards Campbeltown all the way to the southern end of Ardrishaig cross over the Crinan Canal Basin Bridge, 500 yards past the bridge are the 30mph de-restriction signs. Allt-Na-Craig and the Coach House are immediately on the right,From Crianlarich and Central Scotland A85 to Dalmally, A189 to Inveraray and then the A83 Campbeltown all the way to Ardrishaig.
